Currier Signs a 5 Year deal with XSI
On May 22nd, Currier signed an agreement with XSi, a xerox distributor for the lease of four brand new xerox printers, a Xerox Workcentre 7345 to replace the existing Toshiba 4511, a Xerox Workcentre 123 to be used in the Production Office, a Xerox Workcentre 7232 to replace the existing Toshiba printer located in the QA department and finally, a HP LaserJet 2840 to be used in the Business Development Department. . These printers were leased as part of an agreement we signed with XSi in an effort to reduce costs associaated with printing. You will see many of the current smaller form factor printers disappear as we try to stream line the number of printers used throughout the facility. All the while maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency

To give you an idea of the money savings
After reasearching what we currently spend on printer ink cartidges and toner, we found that based on a 10% area coverage (amount of printed space on a given page) We found that we were spending $2,717.65 per month between materials and maintanence costs! In this new agreement, we are only going to be spending $1,750 per month! Thats a $967.65 savings per month that we weill no longer need to spend on printing needs!

In addition to the Printers and copiers, included in this agreement is a brand new 36” wide format Plotter! This will replace the broken Encad Plotter we currently have, and aid in helping both Engineering and Business Development departments.

The color quality on the new Xerox 7345 is far superior to that of any of the copy machines we’ve used here in the past. In fact, to give you and idea of the quality, the issues of this Cycle Times you are reading was printed on this very printer!

There are many new functions these printers can perform. We will be scheduling time to have everyone trained on this new equipment and have you printing in no time!
